Bible Questions And Anwsers:      Can We Live A Perfect Life Here On Earth?

This question has be one that has had much discussion inside of many church circles and fellowships.  My aim here is to provide you with some thought provoking comment on it today that will open the eyes of your understanding and cause you to go deeper into the truth.

By perfect I mean, can we live on the earth today without sinning at all 24 hours a day?  At the cernter of this question for today's discussion is several passages of scriptures which we will go over in some detail.
Matt.  5:48  Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
This scripture tell us as Jesus is teaching his disciples he admonishes them to be perfect as their Father in heaven is perfect.  Now we could have much discussions on the word perfect as to what it does and doesn't mean.  However, the short and precise version of the word means "to be without error" "to be complete" "fully mature" and yes "sinless"  All of these are directly related to God. He is all of them and from this scripture Jesus is admonishing his disciples to be as their heavenly Father is concerning being perfect.
I Peter 1:15-16  But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; 16) because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.
In this scripture Peter is teaching us that we are to be holy in (All) manner of conversation (conduct) in verse 15 and then in verse 16 he reference it back to what was already the requirement written in the Old Testament.
Lev. 19:1-2 And the Lord spake unt Moses, saying, 2) Speak unto all the congregation of the children of Israel, and say unto them, Ye shall be holy: for I the Lord your God am holy.
These scriptures speaks not only to the mind of God concerning perfection (living a life without sin) but also to his requirement for us as it was in the beginning.
As I close this session of today's blog I want to do so from a New Testament scripture in the book of Romans.
Romans 6:1-15  What shat we say then? Shall we continue in sin, tha grace may abound? 2) God gorbid.  How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? 3) Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? 4)  Therefore we are buried with him by pabtism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the blory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. 5) For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: 6) Knowing this, that our old man is crusified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. 7) For he that is dead is freed from sin. *) Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him: 9) Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. 10) For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God. 11) Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lords.12) Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. 13) Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God. 14) For sin shall not have donimion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. 15) What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.
From the Word Of God it is very clear to me that God expect's us to live a life without sin.  It has always been it mind and always we been because He is God and He changeth not.  I will continue to add more scriptures to this blog for all to share.
Please feel free to leave a comment and/or even a scripture that you want us to discuss.  Most of all study to shew thyself approved unto God.
